The ORCA from “JAWS” movie by Steven Spielberg
The Orca might be the most famous fishing boat in cinema. The movie Jaws is American hit movie in 1975 by Steven Spielberg, who was only 27-year-old at that time, based on Peter Benchley’s 1974 novel of the same name. The story was about a giant man-eating great white shark attacks beachgoers on Amity Island then the Orca was commanded by shark hunter Quint, police chief Martin Brody to hunt it with the help of a marine biologist Hooper
A veteran sailor during World War II, Quint was returning to his home port, was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine. Quint alone survived and spent a painful time at sea with just a life jacket. For weeks, Quint was amongst a fleet of killer sharks.
