USS Muliphen AKA-61/LKA-61
USS Muliphen was an Andromeda-class attack cargo ship named after Muliphen, a star in the constellation Canis Major. Muliphen was laid down under Maritime Commission contract on 13 May 1944 by Federal Shipbuilding and Drydock Co., Kearny, N.J., launched on 26 August 1944, sponsored by Mrs. John Hascock, acquired by the Navy on 21 October 1944, and commissioned on 23 October 1944, Lt. Comdr. Walter W. Williamson in command.

Our master craftsmen handcraft this model from scratch using plank-on-frame construction method which similar to the building of the actual ship. We hand-build the model to exact scale from finest woods and materials. Thanks to extensive research of drawings, original plans, as well as actual photographs we are able to build the model to the highest possible accuracy. Also, the model has been hand-painted multi-layered to match the color of the real ship.
Each model requires extensively hundreds of hours to construct and must go through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop.
