Description

The Chris-Craft Cobra is unquestionably the most famous, recognizable and collectible model ever built. Only 108 Cobras were ever built (52 18-foot models and 56 21-foot models produced) from 1955 and for they are boating icons.

A few Chris-Craft Cobras (17-18 units) topped the engine choices with a powerful 285 horsepower Cadillac Crusader from Detroit car dealer Cal Connell. Hemi engines powered 21 boats. Only 10 of the 55 boats built had Chris-Craft 6-cylinder (158HP) engines in them. Seven boats were shipped new by Chris-Craft without an engine.

Our Chris Craft Cobra wooden boat model is handcrafted at museum quality from high-grade woods such as mahogany, teak, and other exotic woods. The hull is constructed using a plank on frame method, each strip of exotic wood are carefully joined together to form a smooth hull. This model is completely hand-built by skillful and creative master craftsmen. The boat has a gleaming color of red, white, and a clear varnished coating follows with amazing details. You will find a variety of beautifully chromed metal fittings such as: metal front windshield frame, metal ring gauges, metal steering wheel, metal horns, metal lights, metal propeller and much more. This model has the front row seats for driver and the back row is for passenger seating area. Both of them come with detail stitched leather seats. A detachable wooden stand comes standard with this Chris Craft Cobra model.

We built our models according to scale through original plans, pictures, and drawings. We absolutely use no plastic parts, only the highest quality wood, and metal parts. This model is carefully packed with two thick layers of Styrofoam for a damaged free shipping purpose. Our Chris Craft Cobra model comes ready to display or convert to Radio Control.
