Introduced in 2005, the Sunseeker Predator 62 arrived at a moment when Sunseeker International was redefining what a performance motoryacht could be. Built in Poole, England, and produced until 2009, the Predator 62 embodied the brand’s signature blend of aggressive styling, high‑speed capability, and refined interior comfort. It was designed for owner‑drivers who wanted the thrill of a sportsboat wrapped in the luxury of a 60‑foot cruiser.
At 19.5–19.61 meters in length with a 5‑meter beam and a 1.55‑meter draft, the Predator 62 carried the unmistakable Sunseeker profile: low, sleek, and purposeful. Her fiberglass planing hull, shaped for speed and agility, delivered a “soft ride” even at high velocity. Powered by twin MAN diesels producing 900 hp each, she cruised comfortably at 23 knots and could reach 30–37 knots depending on load and conditions — performance that placed her among the fastest yachts in her class.
Inside, the Predator 62 offered a layout that balanced open‑air entertainment with private, comfortable living spaces. The main deck saloon featured an open‑plan design beneath a retractable sunroof, creating a bright, social hub around the helm. A dramatic atrium‑style stairwell led to a second lower saloon and galley, from which three cabins radiated outward. With accommodations for six guests and space for one to two crew, she provided both flexibility and intimacy for extended cruising.
Her appeal extended far beyond performance. Owners valued her ability to shift effortlessly between spirited coastal runs and relaxed weekend cruising. Many Predator 62s were customized for specific climates and cruising grounds — upgraded generators, tropical air‑conditioning packages, reinforced anchoring gear, and personalized interior décor. As a result, the model became a familiar sight in marinas across Australia, the United States, and Europe, often owned by enthusiasts who preferred to helm their own yacht.
Although production ended in 2009, the Predator 62 remains highly sought after on the pre‑owned market. Her combination of speed, comfort, and contemporary styling has kept demand strong, and she is widely regarded as one of the benchmark models in the 60‑foot luxury motoryacht segment.
Today, the Sunseeker Predator 62 stands as a testament to Sunseeker’s ability to merge British engineering with bold, modern design. Sleek, fast, and unmistakably stylish, she continues to represent the spirit of the Predator range — yachts built for those who want performance without sacrificing elegance.
