If your love of the legendary Sopwith Camel is larger than life, nothing will suffice except this huge “miniature” of the beloved WWI British Fighter. Most definitely it’s the size. It’s BIG. Built with an interesting array of materials. Lightweight frame stretched with fabric. Down to the smallest detail a replica of the original, which was actually only 5.7m long (less than 19 ft.) to begin with. Built by the thousands during the Great War, in many colors and configurations. Our model fits large spaces as well as large personalities (of which there is no shortage in this world!). Pair it with propellers, old maps, a pilot’s desk. The Sopwith Camel and the Sopwith Pup were famous and popular planes. In the hands of experienced pilots they were good for close combat.
The Sopwith was the mainstay fighter-plane of the British and USA forces in the early 1900’s. Brightly painted in various national colors, its ruled the skies for a number of years. Besides serving as an unavoidable aeronautical accessory, the model is ideally suited for use as an up-close example of early aircraft engineering
