MS Adventure of the Seas is a Voyager-class cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International (RCI). She was built at Kværner Masa-Yards Turku New Shipyard, Finland and completed in 2001. The ship’s godparents are Tara Stackpole and Kevin Hannafin of the New York Fire Department along with Margaret McDonnell and Richard Lucas of the NYPD; both agencies suffered numerous casualties in the September 11 attacks, which occurred two months prior to her maiden voyage
Adventure of the Seas has installed 6 Wärtsilä 12V46 (6 × 12,600 kW) and propulsion of Two ABB Azipods and one Fixipod in the back and Four bow thrusters. She can reach max speed of 22.5 knots. She can carry 3,114 passengers and 1,180 crews. Adventure of the Seas has cruised both from United States ports to the Caribbean, Bahamas and Canada and from European ports to Baltic, Mediterranean, and Northern European destinations.
